Solar Appointment Bot · last updated 1 September 2026

Solar Appointment Bot is a private, internal tool used by a residential solar sales business to record its own sales appointments. It is not a public service, it has no sign-up, and it is used only by that company's own staff.

What the app accesses in a Google Account

The app requests one Google permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This grants access only to files the app itself creates. It cannot list, open or change any other file in the Drive, and it reads no other Google service — no Gmail, no Contacts, no Calendar.

What is stored in those files

The spreadsheets the app creates hold appointment records: the homeowner's name, address, phone number and email address where given; the date and time of the appointment; the utility company and average monthly electricity bill; the name of the team member who booked it; the current status of the appointment; and notes written by staff about it.

Who can see them

Each spreadsheet is shared only with the people who need it — the business owner, and the individual team member whose appointments it lists. Nothing is published publicly or submitted for indexing.

What the app does not do

Keeping and deleting data

Records stay in the spreadsheets for as long as the business keeps them. To have information removed, delete the spreadsheet in Google Drive, or write to the address below and it will be removed on request.
